Cellular phenotypes in T cell activation. Transgenic name 129/Ola PrP<-/->. Construct: Neomycin resistance gene Thymidine Kinase gene. The site of insertion is in the PrP gene exon 3, kpnI site. The ES cells used were derived from E14 129 Ola. No expression of the PrP gene and a lack of this gene stops this strain developing scrapie disease after injection.
