| Reiterated transgene is detectable by DNA in situ hybridisation. Congenic 129/terSv-TgN(Hbb-b1)83Clo/Ws mice carry the TgN(Hbb-b183Clo transgene on a 129/terSvHsd genetic background. The transgene is a useful lineage marker for chimera studies. ES cells are most easily derived from the 129 strain. The 129/terSv-TgN(Hbb-b1)83Clo/Ws congenic strain should be useful for producing ES cells with the TgN(Hbb-b1)83Clo lineage marker. These ES cells will be useful in a wide range of chimera studies. |
