Mice carrying this mutation demonstrate a low endurance of wheel running activity which is reduced to about 10% of control values. Identified in circadian rhythm screen. This phenotype could be of potential use in the study of the molecular basis of sleep disorders. The PLAY14 (Sluggish) stock arose following the screening of ENU mutagenised BALB/c males.
