| Reiterated transgene is detectable by DNA in situ hybridisation. Congenic 129/terSv-TgN(Hbb-b1)83Clo,Pax6<Sey/+>/Ws mice carry the TgN(Hbb-b1)83Clo transgene on a 129/terSvHsd genetic background and are segregating for Pax6<Sey/+> and Pax6<+/+>. The transgene is a useful lineage marker for chimera studies. ES cells are most easily derived from the 129 strain. The 129/terSv-TgN(Hbb-b1)83Clo,Pax6<Sey/+>/Ws congenic strain should be useful for producing Pax6<Sey/+> and Pax6<+/+> ES cells with the TgN(Hbb-b1)83Clo lineage marker. These ES cells will be useful in production and analysis of Pax6<Sey/+> Pax6<+/+>, Pax6<Sey/Sey> Pax6<+/+> and other chimeras. |
