| Wild type, inbred strain. 102/H is a standard inbred strain that arose by contamination of strain 101/R1, probably by an illegitimate cross with C3H/He. It is valuble for studies of eye mutants because it does not carry either rd, which C3H carries, or lop2 which 101/H and CBA/H carry. It is not widely available, as it is believed to be held only by J. Favor at Institute of Human Genetics Neuherberg. |
